Windows media player now playing list gone

I managed to restore just my playlists without having to delete and restore my whole library. The playlists were then automatically and immediately added back to the Windows Media Player. A bit of a nuisance, but quick and easy. I'm no techo in any sense, but it seems that something is upsetting the instructions that tell WMP where to go to look for playlists - this simple move out and move back procedure seems to restore that link.

Windows 7 Media. Sign in to vote. When opening a video with wmp 12 the "now playing" window always opens as a very tiny window or, if "fit player to video" is checked, adjusts itself to the size of the video. When manually adjusting the size of the window and then closing the application and opening a new video, the "now playing" window goes back to being tiny. I have tried checking and unchecking both "fit player to video" and "fit video to player on resize" under "video" on the right click menu.

With previous versions of windows media player it was possible to adjust the window size and have all the videos adjust to that size. Is this a bug or a new feature? Or is there a way to change back to the old way? I'm using windows 7 RC x Friday, May 8, AM. I think this is expected behavior. Have you tried playing the video in the Library view?

If you open Windows Media Player without opening a file and switch to the Now Playing view, hold the ctrl button while resizing the window.
